Dr Peter Walker - Hip and Knee

Dr Peter Walker is a specialist in hip and knee disorders. He graduated from the University of New South Wales with honours. He completed his orthopaedic training in Sydney in 2000 and was awarded the Zimmer traveling fellowship. He then travelled to Boston in the USA, and Toronto in Canada to complete two fellowships in hip and knee surgery and started his orthopaedic practice in 2001.

He performs approximately 750 operations per year including all types of hip and knee surgery with a special interest in computer navigation, ligament reconstructions, hip arthroscopy, cartilage grafting and revision joint replacements.

He is involved in research in a number of these areas through the University of NSW and continually updates his knowledge by attending local and international meetings. He has numerous peer review publications in the orthopaedic literature and lectures both here and overseas on a regular basis.

Apart from being proudly affiliated with Sydney Sportsmed Specialists in Macquarie St, Dr Walker is also a partner in Orthosports with rooms in Randwick and Concord and a member of The NSW Institute of Sports Medicine.

He operates at Prince of Wales Private Hospital ,Canada Bay Private Hospital and has 2 public hospital appointments at Concord and Canterbury.
